Samsung Electronics Announcement on Lawsuits Against Apple

SamsungOn April 21, Samsung Electronics filed a lawsuit in the Seoul Central District Court, Korea against Apple Inc. citing five patent infringements.

Separately, Samsung filed a suit in a court in Tokyo, Japan citing two patent infringements, and in Mannheim, Germany citing three patent infringements.

(Updated)  On April 27, Samsung filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Apple Inc. citing infringements of 10 patents.

Samsung is continuing to respond actively to the legal action taken against us in order to protect our intellectual property and to ensure our continued innovation and growth in the mobile communications business.

  1. I found the info that Apple asked Samsung in lawsuit few days ago. For what? Model copying, was the answer. Is like Motorola will begin trials with all the companies which made or still making clamshell phones…Yes, Apple market position was really in danger after phenomenal success of Samsung Galaxy I800 model. Apple has not any advantage to even ask rights about shapes of a mobile phone. The market has already decide which will be the winner – see last sales figures of Galaxy! Good Work Samsung! Be the best, like always! We can do, Samsung!
